Careers + Post-16 Options - For the Gatsby Benchmark Careers Guidelines. 1-2 hour fully resourced careers lesson which introduces the concept of careers, jobs and vocations before investigating the best ways students can establish the right career paths for them. The lesson sees students creating a six point plan based on the provided information, clip tasks and other activities and is perfect as an introduction lesson for a PSHE / Citizenship careers unit.
This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and information sheets.

A mental health awareness assembly with a focus on how to care for and manage your mental health. It lasts 15-20 mins (inc short clip) and explores why mental health issues are so prevalent in young people today, what the most common conditions are, the symptoms and causes and finally where and how you can access help. An introduction lesson for Edexcel Citizenship GCSE 9-1 (you can find the AQA one here). The lesson goes through all the different modules, how they are assessed and introduces many of the new key terms and concepts students will be covering over the course.
The lesson includes a detailed, 1 hour PowerPoint, information sheets, differentiated activity worksheets, differentiated challenge activities and clips tasks and information sheets for students to stick in their books. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.
The PowerPoint is in the ZIP file as it is large. The images have been uploaded to show a few examples of the slides in the lesson :)

An editable end of term assembly with a focus on being grateful and thankful. Many more slides here than you see on the preview! The narrative follows three children and how their lives have changed due to circumstances beyond their control. It lasts about 15-20 minutes if clip is watched too. The assembly emphasises the value of education and how lucky the students are to live in a country with free access to school. It challenges them to think about others less fortunate throughout their break and to come back refreshed but also appreciating how lucky they are.
It has a couple of jokes thrown in and interesting facts too and ends on a happy note :)

Exercise, Physical Health + Wellbeing PSHE. This new lesson for 2023-24 allows students to explore the physical and mental benefits of regular exercise. Students will investigate the short-term and long-term effects on the heart, brain, muscles, bones and other areas of the human body. They will learn about different forms of exercise and how it can improve our overall well-being. Includes creative tasks, active tasks, analysis and clip tasks. Best suited to KS3, all editable.

1 hour, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for upper KS2 or lower KS3 and created for the new PSHE 2020-22 DfE and PSHE Association Guidelines.
This editable and well-differentiated lesson serves as an introduction to consent, unwanted contact, personal space and inappropriate contact. The lesson introduces the hula-hoop personal space rule, uses child-friendly analogies to introduce consent, gives students numerous case studies to discuss (with a glossary of new terms to help them), offers literacy activities, clip tasks and much more.

Introduction to UK Parliament lessons - 2x 1 hour Citizenship lessons all about Parliament and Law Making. Students will learn all about the Houses of Parliament, the Commons, the Lords and the different positions within, as well as how it operates. They will also discover how laws are made, how amendments are added and how there can be a ‘ping-pong’ effect from house to house before a new Act is granted the Royal Assent.

An hour long lesson suitable for KS2 (or possibly lower KS3) all about the meaning of Identity, Citizenship and being ‘British’. It is well differentiated with three-level challenges for each task, contains a variety of activities, an hour long Powerpoint, a clip with questions, a bingo game, new key-term introductions and a ‘History of British Settlers’ focus task.
